I was born on St. Lucia. The island is a tremendous source of inspiration … a bit of an enchanted world. I had a free-spirited childhood with quite a lot of freedom, running around barefoot, climbing trees, swimming up rivers. My early connection to the outdoors, inspired me to recreate nature’s beauty in my jewelry.
My ANITANJA jewelry is really about reconnecting people to nature. I want my customers to feel a bit closer to the earth when wearing my collections so that they can tap into the universal experience of nature and carry with them a little reminder of their true nature and source.
The Medallion Collection draws its inspiration from the Sea Fan Coral. I’ve always been fascinated by the colorful world beneath the surface of the Caribbean Sea. I fashioned the filigree of these delicate corals into medallion-like coins and imagined a beautiful mermaid draped in the feminine Medallion Collection I created.
